Our Peach Varieties

(listed in order of ripening, beginning in early July)

1 Flaming Fury (P.F. 1)..
best of the very early peaches, good color and flavor, we begin picking these at the start of July, clingstone
2 Flaming Fury (P.F. 5)..
similar to P.F. 1. Medium size, good flavor, and very attractive red over orange color.
3 Garnet Beauty..
the standard in its season, good flavor similar to one of its parents- the Red Haven variety
4 Glen Glo..
our best early peach. This variety was discovered in West Virginia. A large, highly colored peach that has excellent flavor. A freestone when fully ripe.
5 Red Haven..
can be freestone if fully ripe, excellent flavor, pleasing red + yellow contrasting skin
6 Johnboy..
superb peach with great flavor and good size. One of our best choices.
7 Early Loring..
we started growing this peach in the late 80's and loved it's excellent taste and looks. We have replanted because we feel it to be the standout peach in it's season. It matures soon after Red Haven and the fruit is large and freestone.
8 Bounty..
similar to Loring but with better color, definitely one that will be planted more heavily in the next few years
9 Flaming Fury (24007)..
very large and juicy freestone.
10 Summer Breeze ..
local variety with good size, flavor and color.
11 Suncrest..
Medium size peach, full flavored
12 Redskin..
large and juicy freestone, also good canning choice
13 Cresthaven..
Much like the early season Red Haven, but fully freestone
14 Encore..
beautiful late variety (early to mid September)
15 Laurol..
one week later than Encore, attractive, delicious peach to end the season
